We went to a hatchery yesterday and got eight chicks. When we got home and were putting them in the brooder box I noticed our Easter Egger's, Goodness is her name, right eye is closed, always. A couple of times late last night I thought that it looked like her nictitating membrane was covering her eye. But, maybe I am wrong because she never opens it! She acts fine and it doesn't seem to bother her but I am worried. Should I be? It's not weeping or crusty...

Here's a picture of her eye:

Maybe another chick scratched or pecked it. If any of your chicks are aggressive, that would be my guess. It could have been a chick at the hatchery too.

Thank you! A friend of mines daughter belongs to the 4H so she asked a few people there. They suggested I use a warm, wet washcloth and wipe her eye. I didn't think it worked but this morning when I went to check on them it was open! Yahoo!
