Baby chicks growing too fast?

Hello BYC. I recieved 17 chicks wednesday of last week. It's been about a week and they alright have their wing feathers in and are huge and already flapping their wings. They are 7 Speckled Sussex 2 RIR 2 BRs 1 Silkie 2 Silver Spangled Hamburgs. Are they growing too fast or is this normal?

They grow so fast at that age, they change daily. After a few weeks the obvious changes slow down and the weight and body size increases. That is what I am noticing with mine, my "Chicken Littles" are between 7-9 weeks old.

Ok. I had some chickens, leghorns actually, and they didnt grow near as fast so I was wondering if something was up. Thanks

They do grow fast!
