Hi fellow chicken lovers, my name is Dee and I live in Cove Arkansas - a very small town. Have 30 baby chicks in a brooder box in the back bedroom. 6 Buff Orpingtons, 6 Barred Rock, 6 Black Australops, 6 Red Sex Link and 6 Silver Laced Wyandottes
I found this site when I was searching for the answer to my question about baby chicks just lying prone on the floor to sleep - I was worried, but was reassured that this is normal.
Baby chicks are a joy to watch, they are beautiful animals and I look forward to watching them grow and develop. I don't know if there are any roosters in the 30 - will have to wait and see.
I would love to hear from you guys out there who are loving your flocks, too.
