I have two Cochin Silkie hens sitting on eggs in the maternity ward. In South Mississippi the temperatures will be upper 40s at night. Do I need to bring them inside? Mama Chilkie is a beast and is trying to take my hand off. I want them to be okay. I was wondering if I can keep them where they are at? Should I put heat in there or will they be okay with two mamas to keep them warm? Should I bring them all inside? I do have a couple of dog crates.
I do have a panel heater that they could get under and there is room for them. I'm at a loss.
