Hello everyone. These are my first chickens they’re a month old and outgrowing their enclosure. I’m ready for them to move to forever home. My question is about the feeder and waterer should they be placed inside coop until they get a bit older or should they just be left outside.

Depends on where the chicks spend their time. If possible I'd do both, but they will hopefully figure it out. Eventually feed should be kept where it can stay dry.

Probably putting miy Rhode Island Red Heritage gals in the coop soon! My FIRST all me chickens. My grandparents had them. My pops has 6 currently. But my babies are officially Perching and trying to fly out of the box a lot this weekend (classic box in the bathroom addict scenario). There is nothing quite like getting suprise free fanning on the toilet. I’ll probably keep one feeder and waterer in the chicken run but well placed away from the sides. I don’t want to attract any critters to the coop at night. I’m also installing a cheap solar light with motion detection. They’re 10 bucks at harbor freight. I’m raising chickens gorilla style in the suburbs hiding out from the HOA. So the coop is right outside the window near my kitchen. If we ever hear any noises I can look out that window and have everything lit up. If needs be. I have a 150lb crossbow. Silent but deadly at 2 am 🤗

Those HOA’s are haters so good luck to you on that sense. I was going to do the same and install a lights near coop as well so I like where your head is at. Good luck to you
