Baby chicks near Maryland

Looking for the best hatchery near Maryland to allow baby chicks the least time in the shipping process. I wanted to find some local Maryland guys with Easter eggers but didn't have any luck in the Maryland thread. So now I was just wondering if anyone can recommend any hatcheries that aren't in Texas or California and can get me chicks in a good timely manner. I hate to leave chicks in a box for 3 days. If anyone can recommend anywhere, p,ease let me know. Thanks everyone.

I just checked CL, and there is someone in Middletown (Baltimore, northern MD area) with EE chicks. You would be in charge of their shipping. I'm with you...as hot as its been here, I didn't want chicks coming in the mail.

I'm in Virginia & have ordered from Meyer & McMurray before....all chicks arrived alive both times.

Nevermind, I figured out where you are.

I ordered mine from MPC and they shipped overnight and arrived alive, healthy. A year later, they're still doing great and laying nice, and they're friendly girls.

Next year, I can hatch you some if you decide to add to your flock - I'm near OC.

Yea I will likely add to my flock. And yea I am by Annapolis Maryland. But always up for a drive. I will likely try Meyer or mcmurray if Craigslist don't work out. Thanks everyone for your input.
