at 1 day old chicks need about 100 degree temp. I put a reptile thermometer in my box for a week or so just to get my light right. If the temp is about 100 then try a little sugar water to give them a boost. They should have absorbed enough from the yolk during hatching to be fine for up to 48 hours but the transition or travel form incubator to brooder can be hard on them

I would dip each beak in the water, encourage them to eat by tapping on the feed.

Make sure all are eating and drinking.

KEEP the heat lamp. Put your hand under the light at floor level. If your hand gets painfully hot, move the lamp up a couple of inches.

Ive hard chick that acted weak and I syringe fed a little sugar water and vitamin water to and they perk up

Or 1 day old as in they just arrived in the mail?

If they just hatched, they will naturally look sleepy and not be very hungry or thirsty.

If they arrived in the mail, it is very important to get them eating and drinking.
