I have a question.....

I've had chickens off and on thru the years and this has never come up until now......If you have double yoke eggs will they hatch twins? Or will they hatch at all? Is there anybody that's had it happen? I guess that's three questions. I have high production reds that lay large brown eggs except one....she lays an almost white, but I'm getting occaisional double yokers.

They usually die because they don't have room and can't get out of the egg. There has been a couple of people that have posted about hatching twins and it took intervention to get the chicks out. It was pretty cool though.

They have to have help getting out of the egg, but it DOES happen. Plenty of vids on YouTube showing the hatch!
