I have 6 2 week old chicks, when can they go outside with older chickens? The older chickens are 5 months old. I'm very new to this and I feel so dumb.

Dont feel dumb! We all had to start somewhere.

I personally wouldn't let them out with the other chicks until they are at least a couple months old.


I put mine in a small outdoor cage when they are around a month, and then put them all together when they are older (a minimum of two months)

They can probably go outside when they are 8-10 weeks old. You should wait until they are at least 14-16 weeks old before introducing them to the older birds.
