Baby Coturnix Quail cut open neck, helped needed immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a large wound, bigger than I thought. I would definitely use the saline or even some chlorhexidene for a day or two, to irrigate the wound before applying the Neosporin (triple antibiotic ointment) twice a day, until it heals. Keep her separated so the wound is not injured or pecked.

Will do. The cage is even lined with a dog pad that I will change as needed so that no litter will get in its wound. I found how to baby quail got hurt and have fixed the problem so it will not happen again. Thank you very much for your valuable time and infomation @Eggcessive

I agree, it is a larger wound than originally thought.
If you follow the care instructions from @Eggcessive you can't go wrong.

Glad you have her on puppy pads, that will make it easier for you to keep the cage cleaner. Quail poop a lot.
Her being able to eat/drink is good.
Just keep watch on her, hopefully she'll recover o.k.
She's a cute Quail!

Thank you for your time and information. I will keep you both updated. I got her from the variety mix at MyShireFarms. I got lots of cool colors and sweet quail. I had her and her siblings brooder covered with chicken wire.... I will NEVER do that again as long as I have a choice. After inspecting the wire I found that she must have for a moment got stuck in this weird corner and ripped her neck trying to escape..... I have it covered with hardware cloth now so that it is not even possible for them to get stuck in it. Hopefully she will recover.......

I'm glad you figured out what may have happened and was able to correct it. It was an accident, so don't beat yourself up.

Sounds like you have a nice mix! MyShire has some nice quail. Wishing you the best:)

For an update, the quail chick has been doing great! I will post a picture a bit later but it's neck is almost completely healed. Thank you guys for your help. I will post some photos later.
