Baby Dominique vs. Cuckoo Marian

I bought one of each because I wanted a chocolate egger but also thought the Dominique would be a good layer. But, since a lot of questions seem to be going around about i.d.ing the two as chicks, I thought I would post a few photos of both of my four-week olds.


these are both my cuckoo maran chick. note the comb, rounder beak with white (and black) feet.



and rose comb with narrow beak and yellow (and black) feet on my Dominique.

Not quite certain what the question is, but yes two different breeds and very likely Cuckoo Maran and Dominique.

I believe they were merely showcasing the differences between the two breeds as chicks so that people are better able to identify their own babies.
