Baby duck egg dead or alive please help!

I can't. Tell if my baby egg is dead or alive it had its doubts of being alive like it was in the ground for a week with nothing sitting on it.. There are also vine spots I see and maybe another air pocket if I candle the sides of the egg. I really need to know if I'm incubating this egg for no reason or if it will hatch soon I'm scared but i would really like to save its life maybe. Can anyone give me some advice?

This is what the egg looks like normally. It doesn't smell but it doesn't look pretty is there anyway that you can tell by looking at the egg that it's dead?

No way to tell really from the outside. I would incubate it and just sniff test it every day. If it starts stinking, it's dead.

There is more than one air pocket.. There is about three others on the side of the egg is I put it up to the light... Bad?
