Baby duck question

Our baby ducks spill their water every day. So I used a larger chicken waterer. They drained it fast. More water in the bedding than in their mouths. What do I do to keep my bedding dry? Or is that just part of raising baby ducks? Any suggestions appreciated thanks!

Even chickens can get water splashed around, for my chicks I use a dessert plate under my quart waterer, it really helps.

I have used a small commercial poultry waterer, and I have made waterers similar to the ones above where I cut a hole in the top of a butter tub lid and added glass marbles. In my experience, you do your best but ducklings are messy, adorable little critters.

I surrendered and just kept lots of fresh bedding on hand. BTW, when they grow up, they continue to make lots of messes. And, I love them.

That's what I use in mine too!

I gave up on ducks, love them and their personalities, but not even the baby thing, as adults in the winter they make a mess, and they are hard to put away at night.
