baby duckling with bleeding umbelical chord

I agree with CTken - also I think it is too young to let them be in the sink - the could get chilled if not dried off. Ducks are only waterproof because of constant preening of the oil gland so they can spread it over their feathers. A baby duck doesn't know that yet. The water could adversely affect the bleeding cord as well, since ducklings are probably pooing in the water.

x2, but I'd like to mention - ducks don't have umbilicals cords, those are exclusive to mammals...
