So I just had about ten muscovy ducklings hatch on our farm and I put them and mom in a 10x8 stall in the barn. They get water and starter/grower feed and they are now about two weeks old. I went to the barn a couple nights ago and noticed one dead baby duck with no wounds and another that was laying on its back struggling to get turned around. Right now I have had three more struggle the same way and ended up passing away. Last fall a had about ten babies that we went on vacation and I came back and the person watching our animals said they just all died. I found them in laying and sitting positions I thought an animal got them but now with everything going on I think it’s all connected. The first sign I see is them struggling to walk correctly almost like their legs can’t keep up then they fall on their backs and can’t get back up then they almost seem to go paralyzed and can’t use their bodies at all then they keep falling to the left and there head goes backwards with their breathing increasing then death. I am at a loss and just want to figure out what’s going on to help them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I also have muscovy ducks I hatched out 1 would throw its head back or topple over I was suggested off here to get electrolytes asap into it and withing a few days it was doing much better. At just over 2 yrs old now "tipsy" still has health issues arise so I try to keep the powder on hand at all times to give her some to help with anything going on. I was also told ducklings need a good bit more niacin compared to chickens so might need to look into that as well. But seems almost like a neurological issue possibly with yours. I also had one hatch from the same batch as tipsy that had walking problems. Though they are definitely health issued still they have made it so far and have come a very long way
Best of luck ❤
