We have a Muscovy sitting on eggs that are about to hatch, my questions is what will they eat if they free range with there mom, I always thought baby ducks were to small to be able to rip grass and eat it?

They can still find bugs and small grasses just like wild ducklings do. I'd also suggest having a small bowl of flock raiser for them to get to.

I am allowing my hen and her lone ducking to free range in a pen.. the baby is fantastic at finding bugs, will rip away at grass etc.. mum is a free ranged bird so babe is just copying her..

I also have a basic flock raiser in a feeder to just pump up the diet, i do this for all my birds however not just a mum & babies.
