Baby ducks

A little while ago a momma duck and her babies came into my backyard and my sisters dog got ahold of them and the momma duck left and today another family of ducks came and I caught all 10 of them but the momma duck is gone and ever since I got my duck little family’s of ducks have been coming so I need help to preventing it again
Why is this happening?

Are these wild birds? If so it is illegal for you have them. You need to contact a wildlife rescue. They may also be able to help you figure out what to do to deter more birds from coming into your yard.
