The tank is about 2 ft high. Right now I have paving stones and an old dog ramp that are stair-stepped up to the rim, and some cement blocks inside the tank so that they can get out easier. One of the ducks is okay with using this, but the other is still a little skittish around it.
Thanks. It would be wonderful if these kinds of people could be held accountable for deserting their animals. I mentioned cats in my original post, and that's because we have "rescued/adopted/taken in" 8 cats in the last year that have apparently been dumped at the end of our driveway (about a quarter mile from the road to our house). One of these was very pregnant and delivered within a week of finding her way to us -- we kept her and 2 of her 6 babies, plus 3 of the others.Just wanted to Thank You for taking care of these ducks.
It is sad there are people who abandon or dump their animals.
The worst part is that at least two of them had already been spayed/neutered. So they did have some sort of home at some point.OH! Also! I'd love to see pics of your ducks! If you care to share!
