Baby Geese Foot Swelling

I had purchased some geese several weeks ago and just noticed today that two of them had red tags around their legs. I feel responsible that I didn't notice this before. I hurried and removed the thin wires and now their legs are swollen. Do you think they'll be ok? Should I be doing something else for them? I feel terrible that I didn't notice these wires before.

You've posted your concern and members will be only too willing to give you their advice.

I have no experience of this but, common sense tells me that since removing the wire tags, the blood has now flowed and built up, maybe?

You could try searching BYC for "Swollen legs" and see what that throws up? Alternatively, hopefully someone will be along with more experience that I have.
