Hoping someone can help me out with some guidance..
So I found out the problem my female had with her leg was possibly bumblefoot. So I did epsom salt soak and removed the bumble, cleaned it out, did Neosporin and bandaged her up. The next day I saw she removed the bandage. So I re-soaked but didn't want to remove what I saw because it was less of a swollen area and didn't know if it was a scab and didn't want to mess with a sensitive area. Since I did it the day before. So I re bandaged it, made sure her feet were webbed and flat so she could walk. Went out today and saw her foot/toes scrunched up in the bandage. When I removed it her leg looked a little different than the other. A More dry skin look and slightly different than the right. She was able to move it but I immediately started to freak out and blame myself. The front of her foot is still swollen and hasn't changed. I've added some antibiotics and meds for inflammation to her water but didn't want to overdo it since I'm unsure of exact dosage.
My husband thinks I'm overreacting and that she may just need to start walking around on it again. She would usually sit and not move much since she's isolated. I'll post pics in the morning but I don't know if I'm overreacting or doing something wrong.
I want to allow her to go with the boys because she misses them. Especially white boy Rick. He loves her so much. They're like a Disney love story. Pretty much I just need to know if I'm doing the right thing. Or if anyone knows of bumblefoot or leg injuries that can give me advice or anything. I can't afford the only vet I know that will see her because they charge way too much and do nothing.
Again I'll post pics tomorrow morning. I'll probably post this comment as a thread also. Thanks in advance guys!🤞🏻
