Thank you everyone! I couldn't be more pleased w/ how this went and how well Jade (the mom) is doing w/ them. They are nigerian dwarfs. The little white on the boy does look like a heart in the pic, it's really alittle more stretched, maybe more like a check mark!

Here are some more pics, still not great, it will be better when I can get them out in the sun shine, maybe tomarrow, but I hear it's suppose to be cold, so we'll see. Anyway here they are.

The little boy again,

The Pretty flashy girl! She's saying, "does all this white make my butt look big?"

And the little big girl, being born is tiring work! Her white mark looks like a star!

I weighed them, I normally do it right away, but they got breakfast first this time. They were 3.2lbs (big black girl) 2.6lbs (flashy girl), and the little boy is 2lbs.

Oh they are all so beautiful!
I have to ask, what do you do with the goats? I know when/if we find a home with land, my daughter is gonna hit me up for a goat or two, so what breeds do you recommend and why? She loves fainting goats.

You need to give that one girl a very showy name.

Very pretty Nigi's you got there...I have had 2 sets of triplets this year so far and 3 sets of twins, and a few singles...Very very pretty babies...I just love my goats...

They really are fairly nice sized for trips, these are my 1st kids of the year and last until May. Sadly I would have had a second set of triplets, 2 boys and a girl, but my other doe aborted:( .

In general there are lots of uses for goats, meat, milk, show, pet, brush clearers, even pack or cart goats. For mine I raise reg. Nigierians, w/ any luck I will start showing them this year, otherwise they are for pets and milk. As for what breed it depends on what you want, if you're thinking mostly just pets, then I'd reccommend going w/ wethers and just get what you like! I like Nubians (I have 2), but if you like fainters get those. If you prefer smaller you can go w/ nigis, pygmies, or mini fainters. If you want milk you'll want to go w/ a milk breed, Nubian, Alpine, LaMancha. Nigerians are also milk goats, if you want milk, but don't need as much as a full sized goat gives or you'd just prefer a smaller goat. It's hard to reccomend one w/out knowing exactly what you want, but my advice would be to research the ones you like and deside what you want in a goat and go from there. I've owned several different breeds and liked them all!
