baby goose died for no reason

hey im realy sad i hatched out my first goose and i feed it and its mum in the morning. i came back an hour later and it was dead any1 know wat happened? i hadf given it food and water and dosent look like it got attacked and nothing could get into its cage plz reply wat u think might have happened reali upset

i fed it chick mash and water that was it reali it was so full of joy and i was so happy then it was dead

Perhaps the mother sat on it and smothered it? Just a thought. I'm sorry for your loss.
