My lovely baby goose just turned a week old today! Yay!

But he has this weird thing going on with his eye. He always keeps his right eye more closed than his left. It's almost always squinted or closed, while the left stays open.

I let him swim around in the tub so he could dive, hopefully making it feel better, but it didn't help. He's had it for about three days now, and it's not getting better.
Anyone have any idea about what might be going on?

How does the eye look?

Is it runny? Swollen? Red? Puss filled?

What kind of litter do you have him on?
Is he exposed to anything dusty or potent outdoors?

Geese don't normally have problems with common respiratory illnesses. Is he alone in the brooder? Any chance he could have gotten it scratched by someone?

He's all alone in his pen. He's actually been spending most of his time out of it, snuggling with me.

It doesn't look red, pussy, or anything. At the most it's just been watering more than usual, but not by much. He's not been playing around anything that's really sharp, and I have him on shavings. He's gone outdoors three times with me, and hasn't gone anywhere too dusty, or around anything that might have irritated it.
Maybe he bumped into a stick outside? We do have a lot of them. It looks like a perfectly fine eye though! Not at all swollen, if anything, it might be a little smaller than the other eye (is that normal?)

He's an African, but you would think that if he had been born with it, I would have noticed it. It didn't start happening until 3 days after I got him.
It doesn't seem to bother him, but I'm just concerned.
