As long as they are running around with a hot and cool zone, the temp is OK.
If they are staying in one zone or the other, it is time to investigate..

They are definitely running around, but then when it hots 48hrs roughly they just drop dead. This why I was trying get ideas of what might be causing it.

Some heat lamps have Teflon coatings which ate toxic to birds. Is it a new one?

Feed can get wet or old which is problematic.

True but I give them a enough and change it out next day

No this is one I have had for awhile now. Couple years if not longer.

What do you mean by when it hots?
Too hot will definitely kill them.

I've had fresh bags from the feed store that had gotten wet and were causing botulism.
