Its hard to see them but they are in the cirner. All are doing great. I am surprised it worked but i guess im doing something right!

I have eight Bobwhite Quail( four females and four males). They are 2 years old. One of our hens started sitting on her eggs last year. For various reasons we did not let her continue. This year she started sitting on eggs again and we decided to let continue this time. We now have five seemingly healthy active baby quail chicks. She is a very protective Mom. I give she and the babies blueberries, strawberries and assorted grains and seeds. They have a water bowl with pebbles in it so they can not drowned. They are about a week old. I came home today and found them all down in the main run. And, the adults were just fine with them. We have a run next to the house with a dirt floor and numerous grasses and other plantings. The babies hatched in the elevated house. Two chicks started to break out of their shells but did not make it.

Congrats!! That''s awesome.. yes I also have read that most quails don't go broody and if they do take advantage of it!! Goodluck with them.
