Baby quail isn't pooping?

So our little quail was hatched at maybe 10 am tuesday morning, has been eating and drinking somewhat well (we're giving it water through an eye dropped) but ive also seen him drink on his own a few times. When he was out of the shell he had a big poop before he started to dry off and get active and one little one later on that night and hasn't pooped ever since, he keeps trying to peck at his bum and i looked up some stuff on pasty butt and check him out, the vent seems to be clear with nothing blocking it so i'm confused why he hasn't pooped yet. Also he looks like hes drunk when he walks, few steps and then tumbles to the ground, is this just because hes a day old? toes look fine. Do you think he might be constipated? what can i do to help him poop?

What are you feeding, what temperature is the brooder, & what is the floor/breeding it is being brood on?

He probably needs a boost of protien, I would make sure you are feeding him a high in protien gamebird food. Also add some pediealite to his water, somewhere on here there is a ratio
