Hi everyone. I hope I am posting in the right area. I recently rescued a baby chicken. Everyone was telling me just to leave Charlie "Baby chicken" telling me he wont make it but I just couldn't. I am worried. The other chicks were bulling him and one side of his face is I guess you would say is gone/tor up.. It is not bleeding anymore. I have had him for about 24 hours now. When I first brought him home he was standing up fine but wobbly. Now he kind of just lays there. I can get him to drink water out of a baby syringe but I can't get him to eat. I looked at his bum to see if poop was stuck and there isn't but he does still have some of his umbilical cord left. I don't know what to do. How do I get him to eat? I softened the baby chicken feed down to where it is really soft. I get it in his mouth but he wont swallow it. Should I use baby formula? Do they make formula for baby chickens? Please help.
Thank you.
