Normally, I am a girly-girl when it comes to snakes, but after reading a few posts, I have changed my position - Except for Venomonus kind.
Last weekend, we put the girls in their new coop/run and then started cleaning up. While back filling the area with dirt, I was finding all kinds of earthworms.
I began to gather them up and throw them in the run for the girls to eat. Well, at one point, I found a nice fat worm... My DH sees what I threw in the run and said, "Honey, I don't think that is a earthworm - It looks like a baby snake".
By the time I was able to get a closer look, the girls took off with it and gobbled it up.
Needless to say, I had night mares about worms and snakes that night!
Although snakes still give me the willies, I'm glad that folks share what they know about snakes so I'll know the difference between a good snake and a dangerous snake!
