Baby spasmed and died at two days old

Had chicks hatch sat and to day i was watching them and one looked like it had a spasm. Its neck was going back over its body and it was doing back flips. then layed down and died. Anyone have any idea what happened to my baby??

I am sorry for your loss

It could be dehydration, overdrinking, heatstroke, many factors...sometimes nothing which would be sudden chick death syndrome. It could have just been weak.

All of them were very vigorous in the brooder. It just layed down and started to spasm.

I don't have an answer, but I'm sorry such an awful thing happened.

yeah. it is my first quail hatch. don't know what to expect. hatched out chickens before, but no quail.
