Baby Wood Ducks, Feeding Questions & Videos

The OP is doing a wonderful job even just being a “citizen.” Without her, these babies would not have survived. She has made it pretty clear that nothing she is doing is illegal, and she took all the correct steps to do so!
I never meant to insinuate, as you have seemed to have inferred, that she was doing anything 'wrong'. I'm curious about the process and finding the best info to assist her.

The best assistance is to share knowledge and/or experience that helps me provide the best nutrition and protein adjustments for these babies during growth phases, so they can be healthy WDs when released -- the subject of this thread. Getting entangled in a *process* is outside the scope of the information I seek. If you're curious about the process, I suggest you may want to contact your local wildlife rehabbers to see if they have protocols. I doubt that rehabbers throughout the country follow the same protocols, and protocols may be altered during high-peak periods.
