Hello! We have been eager readers of BYC for a long time and in this last year have established a successful breeding & hatching operation - hobby farm size. We have about 125 chickens right now and incubators popping off every few days. We sell the chicks from 1 day old up to about 2-3 months old that are feathered and outdoors. We are doing leghorn, wellsummer americauna,Easter eggers, Rhode Island Red, Dominique.Cochin & americauna bantams. Soon to add legbar & Isbar & ice cream bar, porcelain d'uccle, and silky. And of course some mix's we call our Chexmix.
Right now I have $2 on the chicks and $3 on the bantams- usually $3 and $5.
Older outdoor age starts at $5. We are small but healthy & love each little chick uniquely as we welcome them to babycat ranch.
We have pot belly pigs, a horse that doesn't get ridden near enough & 3 cats 2 dogs in addition to our chickens.
My 5 year old son is the proprietor of this business & spouse & I are just chief poop officers. He is learning the ins & outs of business, money respo& rewards. We call casa grande 'dirtopia' and live everyday with unabashed Love & earnest joy!! Come visit us please!!!
