Since we have two roosters, I don't want them fighting. Hormones are starting to kick in, and they're mounting the hens, each other, basically anything that moves. LOL I want to set on up in bachelor pad for a while, basically until we figure out if he'll be Sunday dinner or going to a new home. How many square foot does a single chicken need?

I have kept 2 big CM roos in a standard-size poodle dog crate with out issues. Granted, there was some questionable lovin' goin on, but they were fine. I let them out during free range time, but had to keep them seperate in the coop as they would *ahem* use their large size to force the ladies.

I have mine in this high rise bachelor pad. Each "shelf" is 2X3X18" high. I have bantams and it's plenty big for them.

I cam across a pic of that cage recently, and meant to tell you how much I love it. It inspired my breeding pen/grower outer.
