I have a few Roos that I'd like to keep separate from my main flock. Has anyone housed Roos together without hens ? Do they get along well enough together to be housed in the same coop and run, or does each need to be completly separate ?

If the roosters have been together all along, I dont think you'd have any problems because their pecking order has already been established and they could be housed together. If they havnt been together, you could have some fights on your hands and possible injuries.

Roosters raised together generally don't have serious squabbles or fights that last very long once the pecking order is established. From time to time a younger lower in rank rooster will attempt to over throw the cock of the walk. That being said, if they are confined in a small space they can fight out of frustration in not being able to get to the hens. I learned that one the hard way. I had two EE roos that were brothers that got along fine. I decided to pen them seperately in a 4 x 6 area. They were very rough with the hens and my rooster to hen ratio was too high with these two in the bunch. So in the pen the went and were there to be fattened up a little for the stew pot. I came home one night and one roo was clinging to life and died shortly thereafter. It wasn't pretty.
