I have these 2 ducklings. Picked them up(7/9/20) I know they're young and still have growing to do amd feathers to grow but does anyone know this breed of duck? I think the light colored one is the hen due to size difference and the dark one is really mean. He has a green tint to him in areas on his body but his neck up looks like it will definitely be changing colors. Pictures did no justice. When i let them out he chases around my other ducks and chickens. Will i have to keep him separate? Will he get lonely

I'm guessing a khaki campbel and a cayuga. Yes they will get lownly. You probably want to put gravel or woodchips or something down to get them out of the mud. Clean water would be good too.
Thanks they arent always in the mud I let them out to clean their coop area and they were playing in the runoff water. I have them on woodchips unless they're in the coop. There I have hay. Is that ok for bedding for these kind of ducks?

Omg a Cayuga??!!!! Those ducks are beautifulšŸ˜šŸ˜ I literally saw one while looking at breeds online the other day and said "oooh I want 1 of THOSE!!" That's awesome. Thanks for the input

I had a cayuga. She looked just like that. My khaki looked like that, too, but I didn't get her until she was an adult.

As far as inside substrate goes, hay or straw is what my vet recommended. You do have to change it frequently as it can mold if it gets wet. My vet also recommends only grass or dirt outside to prevent bumbles.
