I asked about these 2 a few weeks ago and am back again to confirm my suspicions. They're both 10ish weeks old. I'm fairly certain the bantam is a Cockerel but I'm second guessing the lavender orpington. I'm sure it'll still end up being a boy since I've wanted a lavender orpington hen for a while. That's just my luck. What do you guys think?

I'd give the Orpington more time. Pullets can pink up early. The comb isn't bright red like it would be for a cockerel. The d'uccle looks to be a cockerel.

I'm sad about the d'uccle for sure. He was supposed to be another bantam but here we are! We live in a neighborhood where we can't have roosters so he will have to find a new home. I have everything crossed for the LO though. I've wanted one for years and just never bit the bullet.

I had 2 lavender Orpington pullets. I was certain the one was a cockerel because of the comb development early, but she definitely was a pullet. It seems it's normal for pullets to have early comb development in this variety.

The tail on the LO is looking promising although I know that gender specific feathering does not come until later.

Here's a few updated pics of the LO, anyone have any guesses? She's a our 14 to 15 weeks. I'm not seeing an spurs starting and haven't heard any crowing, or trying to crow, from her either. Her tail feathers do curve down a little bit could that be from the shredder gene?

I'm very sure that's a cockerel. At 14-15 weeks old that's a very big and ret comb. The short tail is an indication too. Orpingtons are very slow to grow male specific feathers, that's why you don't see them yet.

Would have to agree with the others.
The one is pullet other is cockerel.
