Hi all. So i have been away from the greatness that is chickens for about 4 years. We used to have a farm where we had about 40 chickens at any given time. I was a 4H agent and used to use hatching eggs as a teaching tool in 3rd grade classrooms. I loved teaching the kids about hatching eggs, lufe cycles and responsibility that comes with planning and care. My wife and i uprooted and sold our little farm. Had some fun adventures and now live in downtown asheville nc. With that being said i built a coop out if renovation materials from the house we bought pickes up 4 hens and have been enjoying them for several months now.

20 days ago i set 24 eggs in my old incubator which i havent run in 4+ years. I have culled 4 and am expecting a good hatch.

Just wanted to say hey and i share your passion for these little furry dirty birds and look forward to participating in these forums.
