One of my EE resumed laying today after a 3 month sabbatical. I think I know which one... because out of 3 EE each lays a different color, at least they did in Oct. Olive green from Olivia, Pink from Lucy and blue-green from Cheeks. Cheeks layed today. Others are picking up as well, as we are gaining about 3 mins. of light a day. 9 girls total 3-5 eggs a day.
I don't get the tint color change. Do you mean as the egg gets older it losses it's color OR as the chicken gets older her eggs lighten???

I am so happy and so is my grandson... It's his chicken.

Hooray for EE's! My poults started laying on some of the coldest days of October/November!
