Back into raising chicks

Hi everyone,

I have not raised chickens in YEARS. Main reason is constant moving. My family finally found a permanent place in Dietrich, Idaho. We are moving there in a week.

I am currently trying to find Dietrichs chicken ordinance, with no success so far. I really want to raise chickens again.

There is a problem, though. Assuming the chicken ordinance allows chickens, I have forgotten EVERYTHING about raising hens from chicks.

So, I am asking the same question I asked when I first joined this forum. How do I raise chickens from chicks?

I may start next year with raising chicks if the chicken ordinance says I can raise chickens in my backyard. I need to build a coop and run for them, first. Plenty of time to regain lost knowledge about chickens.

Any help and advice will be appreciated.

Looked at Dietrichs ordinances. Did not see ANY ordinance about chickens. Will continue to research.
