Back Porch Light?

My chickens for some reason rather roost on my back porch at night than in their coop

Does porch light count as extending light?

yes it extend's the length of the day for them chickens hate the dark and think its night time when its dark, we have a few heat lamps in our barn before they were sleeping outside....o-o silly birds :]

I've noticed about two times now that one or two of my birds will start sleeping on my back porch if I leave the curtains open. I guess light has a lot to do with where they think they are...
