Back Protection

Hello,

My little silkie's back is missing most of it's feathers. Can someone please suggest a good remedy? Should I separate her from the flock?

Get a hen apron. Several BYCers sell them in the Buy Sell Trade section.

Is it roo damage or feather picking? A saddle will help with roo damage, but feather picking is a more insidious problem that generally takes a multi tiered approach to deal with.

One of my BO's hasn't had a feather on her head for months. I am interested to see what advice you get. No lice or mites. Rooster does it, I assume. Sorry to hijack this thread but it sounds similar to my girl.
