My husband retired, and we had plans of going on a few vacations. Then the price of gasoline rose and we realized we couldn't afford to travel. My husband really doesn't care to travel anyhow. So I bought some baby calves to raise and a few chickens at Orscheln's, since we can't afford to travel. I've had chickens in the past, it's just been awhile. My chicks will be three weeks old Wednesday, and I need to go ahead and put them in the chicken house. Will they be OK without a light on them?
Anyhow, I have a couple of Jersey milk cows and am experimenting with making cheese. If we're going to stay home, we may as well be doing things we enjoy.

Your chicks should have supplemental heat until they are fully feathered at 6 weeks if the weather is cool
