I have 3 nesting boxes and 7 hens, this morning one hen just having a melt down (very vocal), I went to investigate and 2 boxes had 2 hens and the 3rd had one and she was so upset she was being mean to the 7th hen that was just a by-stander. Funny times.

Ours don't argue, they just go right in and sit next to the hen. If there's no room, they sit on top of them. There could be four open nest boxes, but oh yeah, "you're in mine!" Silkies are strange sometimes!
