Back, want surgery

Have you tried or considered pain management? I have severe back problems including facet joint probs, bulging discs, significant scoliosis and a lot of degenerative arthritis. I have been seeing a pain management Dr for quite some time and I swear by him!! They use several different methods for helping pain including meds, injections, radio waves and so forth. As for the chiropractor - now way I will ever consider that route. Some 40 years ago I had a son who was very slow to develop motor skills and I let myself be talked into taking this baby to a chiropractor. After hundreds of dollars, countless appointments I finally said enough is enough and took him to a new pediatrician who took one look at him and referred us to a pediatric neurologist where my son was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Years later another chiropractor came to my second sons school and told all the kids she could 'cure' ADD.
Spine manipulation for back issues I understand, but the stuff you're describing is starting to go into witch doctor territory. Sounds like those animal "therapists" who use reiki to "correct" behavioral issues...

I too have back issue. Degenerative disc disease since 03 due to a car accident in 99. I have managed my pain with moist heat, inversion, stretching, exercise, pain meds daily, vitaminso and just keep moving! This past April something changed though. I couldn't walk well my pain increased. And has kept increasing lately, so when Dr refused to increase intake of pain meds I snapped n told him I wanted referred to neurological surgeon. MRI showed L5 is bulged badly and pinching nerves. SI I must do surgery soon before my nerves are damaged more and I loose feeling to foot completely. I haven't rode my Harley since april, yes that a real pisser.but now I am at the point where lidocaine patch or any song pain med doesn't remove my pain. I can no longer sit over ten minutes, lay flat back or bend. Any house work is a major umm ok nope can't do it. Feed chickens I can do but can carry more than half gal of water. So yeah I know dealing with this is awful, pls find a Dr soon and good luck.
