Hello... The COOPWORX feed silo is working great for me. I have it in the fenced in chicken yard. In regards to chickens dragging the feed out and wasting it, try extending the legs so that the chickens have to stretch their neck to peck the feed inside the feed holes. If it is too low to the ground they will defiantly drag the feed out. I spoke with Tom at COOPWORX and that is what he told me after mine was delivered. Only vermin I have is a few roach bugs which you will have with any feeder. Try raising the feeder and see if that resolves the wasted feed issue. Good luck!!!Hi, how is it working out with the coopworx feed silo? I found my chickens were spilling a ton of feed with it, and vermin found a way to eat thru the plugs for the openings I had to go put on every night (or actually the soft plastic you plug them into). It just wasn't worth the effort. If i anyway have to go clean up spilled feed every evening, an open dish works just as well. I felt like I wasted so much $$$.
