I just had to post this to gush over my success and thank everyone who posts on here sharing their experience on dealing with cocci! My poor babies came down with the dreaded disease this last Sunday. BYC to the rescue!! Blog #1 told me what they had, blog #2 told me what to get and what dosage. I did have to drive 60 miles round trip to get the meds, (why is every feed store closed on Sunday????) but it was worth it!
I only lost one chick out of 30. When two chicks seemed on death's door, blog #3 told me what supportive care to give. After a day and a half of feeding the two Marans from a syringe, SUCCESS! They are alive and well and back with the flock. Everyone looks great!
