background color on page?

Hello- I am trying to change the background color on my personal page and can't. There is a button that says it will do it, but the only way I can get it to work is to hilight text, and then only the text has a background color. I also tried a simple code on the html pop up. Help!!!

To the best of my knowledge you are stuck with the white background. Try adding a table at 100% width and changing the table bg color.
