What would I be feeling for for a slipped tendon? Can you feel the joint and see if the tendon is slipped? Any swelling of the joint?
A leg that is backward and sticking out to the side may be a deformity as well.
You can try placing the chick in a sling for monitored periods of time and see if that helps too.
The feel the same. And aren't swollen. The joint would be flat. Compare the joint to the other leg or even the other chicks.
I'll get some vitamin b for them and look for riboflavin. The legs feel the as the other chicks. So I'm guessing it would be the deformity. She's starting to stand up and walk with a little difficulty so I have some hopeLeg bone deformities, such as varus or valgus deformity in one or both legs, and slipped tendons are common in all poultry. Try to determine which you are seeing. Offer chick vitamins with riboflavin—not all have it—or get some human super vitamin B complex and crush 1/2 tablet in a little water and feed it daily. Unfortunately many times these chickens do not make it or need to be put down. See this thread for more info on those leg issues:
