Hello!

My name is Jake, I’m 26, have two kids and a wife, we currently have 3 hens and one rooster outside, and got 7 chicks the other day, 2 leghorns, and 5 chicks I need help identifying! I had chickens once when I was about 15, but they were at the house when we moved in and I just fed, watered, and collected their eggs. So now as an adult I’m looking to have my own little flock to be able to manage and teach my kids about where their food comes from, responsibility of animals, and the good, bad, and ugly. I’ve read many articles on this page and decided to finally become a member of the community! Thank you for taking the time to read over my introduction!

I have attached pictures of the chicks I need help identifying if anyone is able to help! I was told they were born around Christmas. So they should be about 4 weeks old.

Welcome aboard the cluck train! You'll enjoy it here, tons of information and centuries of experience at the click of a cracked egg. As you know chicken math is a get you..and you seem very under the influence of chicken addiction. There is no cure, but your kids will learn valuable things about life and responsibility and we as parents will learn a lot about our kids and ourselves with raising life in the backyard. Good luck and let's see some pics! (That's not an option...they'll find you...) Well, not really but we here at BYC love pics of peoples feather kids!
