Backyard Brahmas!!

In my case I have to disagree. I like for my birds to learn to stay on their toes, and I'd rather achieve that with my own dog who I know won't hurt them (otherwise I would keep her away)- and who will keep dogs away who will (which she does)- than to have birds with a more "safe" mindset an get blindsided one day.

But like I said, I know her well enough to know she's not out to hurt them.

Well, the cockbird is being quite normal. Maybe try a different breed of chicken? Or maybe bantams. they´re really spunky.

Vulture Hocks are not desirable in the US, so I don't want her to have them or to carry the gene for them. She is Large Fowl, so she's from a completely different line than the bantam is.
That´s really interesting. So in Pakistan, they import from the US, UK and Australia. So I wonder if these vulture hocks (hate the term, known as quill feathers in australia) are ok there in Pakistan or not?

Huh?? I didn't mean I don't like him. I've had other breeds. I love my Brahmas.. I'm not gonna switch breeds bc they're too nice, lol. Was just making an observation. I like to pick at him for being a weenie.

The cockbird that was the most likely to stand up to my dogs´ noses was an Indian that I had some years ago. But the best are the hens with chicks.
