Backyard Brahmas!!

Thank you. I may be able to set the large brooder up in the laundry room. The brooder is 30" by 8'. Going to be hard to get it around the corner at the bottom of the stairs. May just build a small one for inside.
I sure do not want to make the existing flock sick.

I have female brahmas in the same pen with white houdan, silkies, and polish.
We sold the males because they were very aggressive and HUGE. They scared children walking to their bus stop every morning.

My males are about as gentle as kittens and I don't spend any time trying to tame them. Every now and then I'll get one that goes for my feet (maybe the shoestrings?), but one kick and they don't try it again.

My Brahma roosters have all ended up being too aggressive for my family. I raised them no different than any other birds and my EE boys have never been aggressive at all. I believe it depends on the lineage of the birds....mine are all hatchery.

We sold them. They attacked my wife a few times. They never tried me.
I wanted to process them. Wife wanted to sell them. She is meaner than me (and smells good). Sold!!!
